Weix, Rita (Marriage - 10 Aug. 1957)

Miss Rita Weix, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Weix, and Donald Schnabel, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Schnabel, exchanged marriage vows Saturday, August 10, at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby, Wis., Rev. John B. Pinion officiating at the marriage ceremony.

Mrs. Leonard Riese of Unity was maid of honor and Miss Sandra Fristad, Mrs. Leo Weix and Mrs. Ronald Schmidt of Colby were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Leonard Riese of Unity as best man and Paul Weix, Leo Weix, and Ronald Schmidt as groomsmen. Jeannie Helmke of Stratford served as flower girl and Mark Carpenter of Edgar as ring bearer.

The bride was attired in a white nylon gown, lace over satin, which she made. Her bouquet consisted of two dozen roses. Her attendants wore dresses, which she made, of white nylon lace over yellow, green, blue and pink taffeta, respectively. Their wrist corsages consisted of tinted carnations.

A reception was held at the home of the bride which was decorated in white, pink, yellow, green and blue streamers.

The groom is employed by Milford Bolen, Stratford.
