Colby, Wis. - Aug. 22, 1957

Mr. and Mrs. William Edwards are spending several days at Lac du Flambeau.

Jimmie Allmann was in the Marshfield, Wisconsin Hospital several days receiving medical treatments.

Mrs. Adile E. Casper of Seattle, Wash., is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Anthony L. Schemmer.

William Mehring and daughter, Ella, of Sheboygan spent the week-end at the homes of Arthur and Roy Nagel and Paul Schmidt.

Mrs. Minnie Hawk of Sandburn, Minn., Mrs. Emma Lapp of Dorchester and Mrs. Ida Molle of Unity called on Mrs. Ernst Mandel Saturday.

Orville W. Davis and family of Chicago spent several days here. They were called by the sudden death of her father, B. M. Splett, of Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Goessling of Janesville and son, Rev. Robert Goessling of Mellen visited with their aunt, Mrs. Anthony L. Schemmer, Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sossaman and family of Muskego spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Anderson, and attended the funeral of his maternal grand mother.

Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Davis of Minneapolis, Minn., were week-end visitors at the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Davis and at the R. Kuehling home in Unity, Wis.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Wagner and children of Brookfield spent the week-end with Mrs. Wagner’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Dix. Michael Wagner remained to spend a week with his grand parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Franz and Alvin Goldamer left Sunday morning for Seattle, Wash., to visit with their daughters. While Mrs. Franz stays in Seattle, the men plan to go to Canada to visit with Mr. Goldamer’s brothers and their families.

Recent guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schneider were the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Felix Ley of Okinawa and his mother, Mrs. Louis Ley, of Marshfield. Msgr. Ley, who is apostolic administrator of the Ryukyu Islands, is spending three months in the United States.

Out of town people here for the funeral service of Frank Sterzinger were Mr. and Mrs. Gorman Sterzinger and family of Eureka, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Vesley *** Note: The remainder of this article was missing.
