Francis, Gerrold P. (24 AUG 1937 - 29 MAR
1938)
Gerrold Paul Francis, seven month old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Francis, was born in Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), Aug. 2, 1937 and passed away
at his home at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 1938, after an illness of one
day.
He is survived by his parents, five brothers and seven sisters, Mrs.
Wm. Hall (Marion) of Black River Falls; Lucille of Merrillan; Merril, Clara,
Jean, Live, Lyla, Daniel, Vera, Freddie, John Arthur and Martha Jane, all at
home, and his parental grandmother, Mrs. Clara Francis of Loyal.
Funeral
services were conducted at the Schiller Funeral Home at 2:00 o'clock Thursday
afternoon, March 31. Rev. C.R. Gaylord officiated. Mrs. C.R. Gaylord and Miss
Nellie Sharp sang two songs, "Jewel" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus". The body
was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Those from out of town who
attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hall and son of Black river Falls;
Miss Lucille Francis of Merrillan; Miss Clara Francis and Mrs. Blanche Schmidt
of Loyal; Mrs. Esther Morrow and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Koepke of Spencer; Mrs.
Norma Breheim and son and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Stoneberg and daughter of
Marshfield.
