Worden, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
(Golden - 5 November 1970)
Relatives and friends gathered September 27 at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Worden, Rt. 3, Greenwood, to help celebrate
their golden wedding.
The former Neva Sinclaire, daughter of Ernest and
Hattie (Frayett) Sinclaire of the Town of Beaver, and Wesley Worden, son of
Orland W. and Dot (Losey) Worden of Strongs Prairie, were married in Loyal on
November 5, 1920, by the Rev. Henry Chatterson. They lived at Strongs Prairie
nine years and then moved to their present location. They lived in California
for a year but returned to Wisconsin.
Their family includes three sons,
Robert, who is on a neighboring farm, Kenneth, who also farms, and Warren, an
ordained minister at Oconto. There are 12 grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
The Wordens are members of the Missionary Baptist
Church. Mrs. Worden is a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the
Homemakers club.
The event was planned for an earlier date so relatives
from distant places could attend.
