Voigt, Ida (7 June 1894 - 12
October 1970)
Funeral services for Mrs. Ed (Ida) Voigt, 76, of
Neillsville, who died Monday, were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the York Center
Methodist Church. The Rev. Conrad Mickelson officiated. Burial was made in the
York Center Cemetery.
Mrs. Voigt was born June 7, 1894, in the town of
York to John and Lilly (Lawrence) Vandeberg. She received her education in York
and attended the old Oriole School. She married Ed Voigt on October 21, 1914.
They lived on the same farm for over 40 years. She was a member of the United
Methodist Church, Women’s Society of Christian Service, So & Sew Homemakers club
and the York Community Club.
Survivors include: her husband; four
children, Mervin of Pico River, Ca., Harvey of Round Lake, Ill., Mrs. June Hanes
of Centerville, S. D., and Lyle Voigt of Neillsville; a sister, Mrs. Charles
(Ruth) Maegdefessel of Neillsville; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
