Ustianowski, Michael (20 APR 1929 - 27 AUG 2013)

Michael Ustianowski, 84, Lublin, died on Tuesday, Aug. 27 at Memorial Health Center in Medford.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Aug. 31 at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin, with Rev. Marion Talaga officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.

Pallbearers were Randy, Billy, Kyle, Kody, Steve, and Nathan Ustianowski; Gary, and Bruce Flodin.

Thorp Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

MICHAEL USTIANOWSKI, age 84, of Lublin, passed away at Memorial Health Center, in Medford, on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, in Lublin. Rev. Marion Talaga will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Randy Ustianowski, Billy Ustianowski, Kyle Ustianowski, Kody Ustianowski, Steve Ustianowski, Nathan Ustianowski, Gary Flodin and Bruce Flodin. Visitation will be held at the church, on Saturday, from 11am until time of service.

Michael Ustianowski was born on April 20, 1929 in Lublin, WI, the son of Wasyl and Antoinette (Kotoryski) Ustianowski. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at River Bank School.

Mike was united in marriage to Virginia Syryczuk on November 18, 1950 at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, in Lublin. They bought and operated a farm in Lublin.

While farming, Mike also worked in building construction and pipeline construction. In 2000, he retired and sold the farm to his son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Tina. They moved into Lublin and have resided there since. He enjoyed hunting in Montana and fishing.

He was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, and had served as a supervisor and as the assessor for the Town of Roosevelt.

Mike will be dearly missed by his wife of 62 years, Virginia, of Lublin; 7 children: Michael (Pat) of Minocqua, Sharon Ustianowski of Lewis, CO, Terry (Pam) of Dover, FL, Jody (Cheryl) of Lublin, Kelly Ustianowski of Waycross, GA, Dan (Tina) of Lublin, Natasha Ustianowski of Sturgeon Bay; 13 grandchildren: Randy, Billy, Julia, Christina, Laci, Nathan, Kyle, Kody, Hunter, Blake, Brandon, Max and Dex; 4 step grandchildren: Morgan, Mitchell, Ben, and Roman; 2 great-grandchildren: Marcel and Ashton; 2 step great-grandchildren: Bennie, Jr. and Joseph; 2 sisters: Stella Skowronski and Ann Szyzupak, both of Chicago; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Jeffery, on July 4, 1978; 4 brothers: Alex, Phil, Alois and John Ustianowski; and three sisters: Mary Grobowey, Marge Skwierczynski, and Helen Ustianowski in infancy.
