Pudleiner, John (1893? - 23 July 1934)
Dorchester, Wis. - Suicide is believed to have been responsible for the death of John Pudleiner, 41, town of Hoard farmer who was found dead in his yard Monday morning.
The decision followed a post mortem conducted here Monday in connection with an investigation made by District Attorney Hugh G. Haight and representatives of the sheriff’s office.
The fact that the rifle from which the fatal bullet was discharged was found about 10 feet from the body was explained as the result of the recoil of the high-powered weapon.
Pudleiner, who was a bachelor, is said to have been worried about the state of his health. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dorchester, with burial in the Dorchester cemetery.
Surviving relatives include a brother, Emil, here, and a number of other brothers and sisters living at a distance.
