Steffen, Alaire Elaine (Marriage - 1950)
Miss Alaire Elaine Steffen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Steffen of Loyal, has become the bride of James Hallowell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stoughton Hallowell, also of Loyal.
The bride wore for her wedding a gown of white marquisette over satin, featuring long sleeves coming to points over the wrists, a high neckline with lace ruffles around the shoulders and lace scallops around the skirt caught up with rosettes. Her fingertip veil was edged with white lace and fell from a headdress of seed pearls, and she carried a bouquet of red roses, regal lilies and swansonia.
The couple’s attendants were Miss Iris Steffen, a sister of the bride, and John Hallowell, Pewaukee, a brother of the groom. The wedding occurred at the Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield.
The bride is a graduate of a two-year college course and taught at a school near Unity for the past two years. The groom is a graduate of the Loyal High School. The couple will make their home on a farm in the Town of Beaver.
