Clark, David D. (12 AUG 1936 - 5 SEP 2013)
David D. Clark, 77, Medford, died of lung cancer on Thursday, Sept. 5 at his
home, while surrounded by his family and under hospice care.
A memorial
service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic
Church in Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joe Stefancin
officiating. Interment of his cremated remains will be at Holy Rosary Catholic
Cemetery in Medford. Pallbearer is Aaron Stieve.
Visitation will be held
at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m until the time of service.
Hemer
Funeral Homes of Medford and Rib Lake assisted the family with arrangements.
David Clark was born on August 12, 1936 in Geneseo, Ill., to the late Elmer
W. and Margaret (Sloan) Clark. He attended Chicago, Ill., elementary and middle
school and spent four years in an apprenticeship program at Western Electric in
Montgomery, Ill., where he learned a trade as a tool and die maker, graduating
in 1962.
On May 23, 1959 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, he married
Dottie Ann Hartman, who survives. For 25 years they lived in Wisconsin Dells
where he owned and operated Dae-Dot Tool and Die Company. They later resided on
Little Spirit Lake for 10 years before moving to Medford six years ago.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and
reading westerns.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter,
Debra (Timothy) Stieve of Baraboo; a son, Clinton (Yvonne) Clark of Hancock; a
sister, Katheryn Luft of Waukesha; six grandchildren, Rachel, Elizabeth and
Naomi Clark, and Renee, Aaron and Alex Stieve; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris
Greenman and Nancy Greenman.
