Mrs. Mike Harding and Mrs. A. Maher of Boyd were Sunday guests of Mrs. Wahling.
Mrs. Ed Michels was a visitor at the Leo Koenig home at Marshfield last
Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Sahlie of Wheeler, Wis. Spent the weekend at
the Rev. M.K. Aaberg home.
Dale Stabnow, Henry Dill and Albert Neuenfeldt
were Marshfield visitors Sunday afternoon.
Mrs. O.J. Amundson entertained
the members of the Merry-go-round Club at her home last evening.
The
American Legion Auxiliary will meet at the Legion Hall Tuesday evening, May 3,
with Mrs. Irvin Carl, Mrs. Howard Corey and Mrs. Albert Dahl as hostesses.
The West Side Ladies Aid will meet Wednesday, May 4 at the Ed Geisler home.
Mrs. Fred Buker will help serve.
Mr. and Mrs. Linus Prock and Mr. aand
Mrs. Hugo Quast and daughter were Sunday guests at the Joe Quast home.
Mabel Bishop returned Monday evening from a month's visit, which included
Rhinelander, the Twin Cities and Hillsboro.
Dr. and Mrs. M.E. Aaberg, who
have been visiting at the Rev. Aaberg home, returned to their home at Peoria,
Ill. on Sunday.
H.R. Baird and Don Armstrong attended a Masonic
convention at Milwaukee from Thursday until Saturday evening.
Mrs. Geo.
Haeuser entertained the members of the Bridge Club at a 6:30 dinner at her home
last Thursday evening, followed by bridge.
The Woman's Foreign Missionary
Society will meet at Huntzickers on Thursday afternoon. The Misses Myrtle Zaffke
and Ruth Verhulst will attend. Everyone is cordially invited.

Boeckman and daughter Kathryn of Marshfield were visitors at the R.L. Barnes
home Sunday.
Mrs. R.L. Barnes will entertain the members of the Suffraget
Club at her home this evening.
Andrew Lindner, Geo. Pabich and Archie
Lyon attended a Skat Tournament at Athens Sunday.
Misses Alice and
Dorothy Plank and Charles Neuenfeldt were Marshfield callers Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Buker spent Sunday at the Chas. Neff home at Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. E.N. Paul of Dodgeville are moving onto their farm west of
Greenwood.
Miss Vivian Vinger, who spent her vacation here with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger, returned to Madison Sunday.
The
Night Owls met with Mrs. A.D. Lyon on Monday evening. Mrs. Durward Schwarze won
first prize and Mrs. Harvey Flatz the door prize.
Myrtle Zaffke will give
an illustrated lecture on her work in Africa at the Methodist Church Sunday
evening. An offering for her work will be taken.
Mrs. Don Armstrong and
son Jack spent from Thursday until Sunday at the home of her parents at Hudson.
G.V. Rork of Eau Claire has been elected president of the Northern States
Power Co. Rork is a former Greenwood resident and is well-known here. Four new
directors were also elected; they are E.H. Cotton and J.S. McMiller of Eau
Claire, Albert Smith of Chippewa Falls and J.G. Felton of La Crosse.
Norman Friske, who attend the University, returned to his duties at Madison.
Mrs. Mary Johnson is visiting at the home of her son Leonard and family.
Elmer Steiger, who spent his Easter vacation here, returned to Madison on
Thursday.
Mrs. Lawrence Cox and Mrs. Simon Wehrman were Marshfield
callers Saturday.
John McMahon of Eau Claire visited at the home of his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene McMahon, here.
Mrs. E.T. Burch left
yesterday for a visit at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Dr. and Mrs.
Geo. Hauser and family, at St. Paul.
Mr. and Mrs. Myrle Hales and
daughters spent Sunday at the Geo. Haeuser home. Nanjean remained for a week's
visit.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cornich and daughter Hazel of Milwaukee arrived
Friday for a few days visit at the home of Mrs. N.J. Carter.
Mrs. Earl
Stowe and daughter, Mrs. Gerhart Scheel of Loyal, visited at the home of Mrs.
Charles Pickruhn on Wednesday of last week.
Mrs. Thomas Syth, Sidney,
Mont., Mrs. Frank Murphy, Christie and Mrs. Christina Macknick and son Lloyd
attended the funeral of a relative at Fairchild Friday.
Dr. Charles
McNutt returned to his home at Plymouth last Wednesday, after visiting relatives
and friends here. He was accompanied by Mrs. Hubble, who will visit at Plymouth.
Weekend guests of the Wm. Orht home were Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Anding and
daughter, Miss Esther, Mrs. Minnie C. Gebhart, Miss Lorraine Guell, and Messrs.
Arthur and Alfred Anding, all of Arena, and Miss Beryl Kopps of Dodgeville.
