Mr. and Mrs. Irving Sherman spent Sunday at Sheldon
and Ladysmith.
Dr. and Mrs. Loren Giswold were Marshfield callers
Saturday evening.
Mrs. Carl Stabnow entertained the members of the
Merry-go-round Club at her home last evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Strozewski and daughters of Hatfield were Thursday visitors at the H.A. Wescott
home.
Chas. Ludwig, who has been a patient at St. Joseph's Marshfield,
returned home Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Rude of Neillsville
were Greenwood visitors Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Buker spent
the weekend with their son Luke at Madison.
Rev. Geo. Heilman will make a
visitation in the congregation of Rev. E. Wending at Withee on Sunday morning,
May 29th.
Jack Moberg and Miss Amy Borgers of Escanaba, Mich., spent from
Saturday until mond at the home of his mother, Mrs. Christina Moberg.
The
West Side Ladies Aid will meet at the church basement Wednesday, June 1st.
Division 4 will entertain. Let us have a good turnout as this is our yearly
meeting.
Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Pratt spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Pratt's
brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lucas, at Phillips.
About thirty
relatives and friends helped Mrs. Elmer Johnson celebrate her birthday
anniversary at her home Sunday, May 22. A delicious lunch was served and the
afternoon was spent in visiting.
The members of the Greenwood Women's
Club had a farewell party on Mrs. Herbert Krahn at the home of Mrs. Ruth Wiltsey
Tuesday evening. Lunch was served and an enjoyable evening was had by all.
Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Wescott were Loyal visitors Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs.
Art Christie moved into the Barber residence last week.
Miss Levina
Moberg of of Minneapolis spent the weekend here with her mother, Mrs. Christina
Moberg.
Mrs. Theo. Humke spent from Thursday until Monday at the Francis
Schweinler home at Mosinee.
Mrs. Jake Steiger, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Meyer
and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Meyer and family spent Saturday at the Theo Humke home.
Rev. Geo. Heilman attended a visitors meeting at Merrill Monday.
Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Liebzeit spent the first part of the week in Chicago.
Mr.
and Mrs. Geo. Krackenberger of Medford were guests Friday at the George Haeuser
home.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner will entertain members of the Pinochle Club
at their home this evening.
Mrs. Jos. Merkel of Marshfield spent Tuesday
and Wednesday at the Merrill Hare home.
Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger and
daughter Shirley spent the weekend at Lake Wissota.
Mr. and Mrs. James
Slauson and family were visitors at Marshfield Monday morning.
Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard Leberg and family of Pittsville visited at the C. Keiner home
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Myrle Hales, and Mr. and Mrs. Don Schwanes of
Neillsville attended the prom here Friday.
Geo. Humke, who has been
employed at Milwaukee, returned hom Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Jess
Offord of Thorp spent Sunday with Mrs. Minnie Cox.
Tobert Jackson of
Milwaukee called on relatives and friends here on Tuesday of last week.
Harold Borham and Lawrence M. Ginley of Stevens Point were here Friday evening
to attend the prom.
