Wedding vows were exchanged by Carolyn Sue Pagelsdorf, route 1,
Loyal, and James Edwin Hinker, route 1, Greenwood on June 11 at 1 p.m. at St.
Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal. Father Norbert E. King officiated and the
servers at the Mass were Robert Hinker, route 1, Greenwood and Thomas Guzman,
Loyal.
St. Anthony’s choir sang for the ceremony accompanied by Michael
Tucker at the organ. Potted palms and ferns adorned the altar.
Parents of
the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pagelsdorf, route 1, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs.
Sylvester Hinker, route 1, Greenwood.
The bride given in marriage by her
father wore a white floor-length wedding gown of nylon organza over taffeta with
a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves. The princess style A line skirt ended
into a large chapel train, with Venician lace on the skirt fromt and through
mid-drift.
Her large bouffant veil of English illusion bellowed from the
crown of aurora bocealis crystals, seed pearls and Venecian lace. A cresent
shaped bouquet of deep pink and white gardenias were carried by the bride.
Mrs. George (Patricia) Stumpner, route 1, Loyal, sister of the bride served
as matron of honor. Mrs. Lester Kaiser, Stratford and Miss Rita Stumpner, Racine
were the bridesmaids.
The bridal attendants wore two-toned pink
floor-length gowns of chiffon over taffeta, with bateau necklines, elbow length
sleeves, and controlled skirts. Venecian lace formed the trim around the sleeves
and waistline.
They each wore small bouffant veils which bellowed e\from
a peteled head piece. Their bouquets consisted of pale pink gardenias in a heart
shape.
Serving the groom as best man was George Stumpner, route 1, Loyal
and the groomsmen were Lester Kaiser, Stratford and William Pagelsdorf, route 1,
Loyal. Francis Hinker, Greenwood and Lloyd Jensen, route 1, Marshfield were the
ushers.
A reception was served at the home of the bride’s parents
followed by a supper at the church hall and dance at the Silver Dome Ballroom,
Neillsville.
The bride is a 1960 graduate of Loyal High School and is
employed by Behrt O. Gungor, M. D., Loyal Medical Center. The groom attended St.
Mary’s Catholic School, Greenwood and graduated from Greenwood High School. He
is a machine operator for John D. Wuethrich Creameries, Inc.
After a
wedding trip to southern Wisconsin and Illinois the couple will be home to
friends at East Division Street, Greenwood.
Guests attending the wedding
came from Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Milwaukee, Eau Claire, Kenosha, Madison,
Janesville, Wausau, Marshfield, Colby, Spencer, Greenwood, Loyal, Neillsville,
and surrounding communities.
