Pink roses and white carnations
decorated the altar of St John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville for the wedding of
Miss Carol Helen Garbush and Leslie John Hagen, Saturday, June 18 at a 2 p.m.
ceremony. The Rev. Norman Lindhoff officiated.
Parents of the wedding
couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lee A. Garbush, route 2, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. William
Hagen, route 2, Neillsville. Mr. Garbush gave his daughter in marriage as Victor
Lehmann played the “Wedding March.”
Miss Garbush wore a white floor
length bridal gown styled by a scalloped Sabrina neckline on the basque bodice
of nylon sheer and chantilly lace. The full skirt featured a wide lace flounce
at the hemline with an overskirt of nylon sheer accented with lace roses and
falling into a chapel sweep/.
Her fingertip illusion veil was scured to a
lace crown edged with seed pearls and accented with aurora borealis crystal. She
carried a crescent shaped bouquet of pink roses with white streamers attached.
Mr. and Mrs. Darryl Dayton, Neillsville were the honor attendants. Miss
Karen Hagen, Neillsville and James Masephol, Pittsville were bridesmaid and
groomsman. Ushers were William Martens, Loyal, and William Hagen, Jr.,
Neillsville.
The bridal aides were gowned in full-length pink satin with
bows at the back leading into long trains. Each carried a nosegay of pink toses
and white carnations.
A reception at 3 p.m. followed by a supper at 4:30
p.m. were held at St. John’s Lutheran School and the shower and dance was held
at the American Legion Hall, Neillsville.
The bride is a 1964 graduate of
Loyal High School. She has been employed at Wedges Creek Research Farm,
Neillsville. Her husband is a 1963 graduate of Neillsville High School and is
employed at Nelson Muffler Corp., Neillsville. The couple will make their home
at Christie, route 3, Neillsville.
Guests attending the wedding came from
Milwaukee, Neillsville, Pittsville, Marshfield, Chaseburg, Gays Mills, Eldorado,
Beloit, Milton Junction, Owen, Chili, Arpin, Eau Claire, Humbird, Willard, Black
Rivr Falls, and Prineville and Portland, Oregon.
