Plantico, Marjorie E. (8 SEP 1948)
On Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1948, Ray Carl Grandy and Marjorie Elaine Plantico of Maplehurst (Taylor Co., Wis.), repeated their nuptial vows before the altar at the Nazareth Lutheran Church, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. Bundgaard performed the ceremony.
Miss Plantico became the bride formally attired in a white satin and three-quarter length veil. Pink and white roses made up her arm bouquet and she wore a watch, a gift of the groom. Arlen Plantico and Barbara Annis, as bridesmaids, chose white and yellow gowns respectively and carried bouquets of mixed flowers.
Elroy and Gilbert Plantico, brothers of the bride, attended the groom.
Mrs. Emma Grandy, mother of the groom, was attired in a green jersey dress and wore a shoulder corsage.
Fifty guests were served dinner at the bride’s home at 2 p.m. and a dance was held at the Clark Community Hall in the evening, where the wedding cake was cut and served to their relatives and friends.
The following Thursday the couple left for Seattle, Wash., where he is stationed with the U. S. Army at Fort Worden.
