Abbotsford, Wis. -- Lillian M. Streckert, 90, of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor, Abbotsford, Wis.
Services will be Monday, Nov. 24, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, Wis. The Rev. Dr. Paul C. Hunsicker will officiate. Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Streckert, Tyler Streckert, Benjamin Streckert, Norman Kommer, Dennis Westphal and Alan Deiler.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, from 9:30 a.m. to time of services at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, Wis.
Lillian was born May 24, 1918, in Chelsea, to Otto and Mollie (Steiner) Lange. She married Ernest Streckert from whom she was later divorced. Mrs. Streckert was the owner of Streckert Manufacturing, Inc. Lillian was one of the founders of Abbotsford State Bank, now AbbyBank, and was a member of its board of directors. Her work and her family were her life.
Lillian is survived by her three sons, Thomas (Sondra) Streckert of Colby, Jerrold Streckert of Reading, Mass., David Streckert of Abbotsford; three grandchildren, Mark (Cindy) Streckert of Unity, Cristina Streckert of Minneapolis, Minn., Elizabeth Streckert of Mountain View, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Benjamin, Jonathan, Katherine and Lily Streckert; and nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Streckert was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
