Laufenberg (Marriage - 3 August 1950)
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Spiegel, newlyweds are making their home in Cannonville following their honeymoon in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and the Dakotas.
The wedding occurred on August 3, 1950, at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Alma Center (Jackson Co.).
The bridal attendants were Florence Knopt, as bridesmaid, Diane Ripp, cousin of he bride as junior bridesmaid, Dolores Squires, as maid of honor, and Ruth Laufenberg, sister of the bride as flower girl. The groom was attended by Bernard Laufenberg, brother of the bride, Robert Spiegel, brother of the groom, and Roy Pokorny. Ushers were the bride’s cousin Duane Ripp, and Louis Paun, a friend of the groom.
After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the Laufenberg home for the bridal party. At one in the afternoon a reception was held at the hotel in Black River Falls for 85 guests.
The bride is a graduate of the Alma Center High School with the class of 1950.
The groom served in the army for four years and was overseas for one and one-half years. He operates a garage in Cannonville.
