Franz, Albert F. (26 Feb. 1859 - 18 Oct. 1934)
Albert F. Franz, a resident of the town of Holton the past six years, died as the result of a stroke Thursday afternoon at 4 o’clock at his farm home, one and a half miles east of Abbotsford, Wis.
Funeral rites were conducted from the home Monday at 1:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. from Christ Lutheran church, Abbotsford, Wis. Burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery, the Rev. J. Brandt officiating.
Mr. Franz was born in Germany. After coming to America, he lived for some time at Chippewa Falls before moving to the town of Holton. For many years he had been employed as a railroad section foreman.
Surviving relatives include his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Albert Wiedenhoeft, Colby, and Mrs. August Belter, Wausau, and a son, Arthur, Bloomer. A brother, Gust Franz of Colby, also survives.
