Schoelzel, Patricia Elayne (Marriage - 30 Nov. 1957)
Miss Patricia Elayne Schoelzel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Schoelzel of Colby, Route 2, and Wayne Franklin Seefeld, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Seefeld of Spencer, Wisconsin, Route 1, were married Saturday in the First Evangelical and Reformed church in Colby, Wis., Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiating at the 2:00 P.M. nuptial rites. Edward Wachtendank sang "The Lord’s Prayer" and "O Promise Me."
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gaetz of Colby, the bride’s brother-in-law and sister, were chief attendants. The bride was also attended by another sister, Miss Sandra Schoelzel, and Miss Gayle Schaffer, both of Colby, Wis. The groom’s nephew and cousin, Terry Hebert and Dennis Seefeld, both of Spencer, were groomsmen.
Joleen Wachtendank of Stevens Point, a niece of the bride, appeared with the bridal party as flower girl.
Red roses, with lilies of the valley and white gardenias, were carried by the bride, who was dressed in a floor-length gown of Rachel lace. Matching gauntlets accented the short sleeves of her V-necked bodice, and tiers of lace featured the bouffant skirt. The bridal veil was attached to a cap edged with pleated tulle.
A floor-length dress of cotillion blue was worn by Mrs. Gaetz, who carried a bouquet of aqua-tinted roses and white carnations, and the bridesmaids carried coral-colored roses and white carnations to give color interest to their gowns, which were in melon shades.
Similar styling was seen in the three frocks - fitted bodices and full ruffled skirts, with metallic cummerbunds ending in large bows and streamers at the back.
The flower girl’s bouquet contained red roses and white carnations.
Wedding guests were seated by Virgil Seefeldt of Spencer, a cousin of the bridegroom, and Darnell Schoelzel of Colby, the bride’s brother.
Present for the occasion were residents of Rothschild, Rock Spring, Greenwood, Baraboo, Riplinger, Stevens Point, Spencer, Unity, Loyal, Abbotsford, and Chicago and Lake Villa, Ill.
A reception was held at the bride’s home and supper was served at the parish hall.
Mr. Seefeld attended Spencer High School and is employed at Spencer by Pathfinder Homes. Mrs. Seefeld was educated at Colby, Wis. They will reside on a farm near Spencer.
