Heasley, Nancy Anne (Marriage - 10 October 1970)
Miss Nancy Anne Heasley of Minot AFB, N.D., became the bride of Donald
Steven Sowieja of Greenwood October 10 at Chapel No. 2 at the Minot AFB, the
Rev. Mathre performing the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Col. and Mrs.
F. A. Heasley of the base, and the groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jerome
Sowieja of Greenwood.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a
floor-length empire style with chiffon gown with cuffs and cowl collar of lace.
Her veil was of lime green and white tulle and she carried a cascade of yellow
and white gladioli and stephanotis with ivy.
Mrs. Myrna Kornbluh of
Minot, N. D., matron-of-honor, wore a floor-length lime green dotted Swiss gown
and carried yellow and white daisies and pompons.
A1/c Patrick McCarthy
of Minot AFB was bestman. Charles and Eugene Soweja ushered.
The bride
graduated from Wakefield High School, Arlington, Va., in 1968. Her husband
graduated in 1967 from Greenwood High school, attended Wisconsin State
University - Platteville and Minot State College and is an air force sergeant
nuclear weapons technician. After a honeymoon trip to the south the couple will
reside on the Minot AFB.
