Mrs. Vern
Jewitt of San José, Ca., who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Robert Frantz,
for the last two weeks, planned to return home today (Thursday). Sunday they
visited Judge and Mrs. George Frantz in Fennimore.
Candlelight homemakers
met Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Royce Larsen. The October extension
homemaker project, “How to keep fit nutritionally,” was presented by Mrs. Norb
Schlegelmilch and Mrs. Ray Wetzel.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ray spent part of
the weekend in Milwaukee with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ray, who observed
their Golden wedding anniversary.
Sunday afternoon visitors at the John
Swenson home were Mr. and Mrs. Gilferd Berg of Menomonie.
Mrs. Harold
Junchen and Mrs. Henry E. Rahn hosted a bridal shower for Elsbeth Rizner last
Thursday at the Rahn home.
Mr and Mrs. Valentine Payleitner plan to
attend the Bucks season opener in Milwaukee Saturday night. Sunday afternoon
they expect to see the Packer-Eagle game at Milwaukee county stadium.
Sister M. Margaret of Baraboo recently spent several days with her brother, John
Tolaney, who is a resident at Memorial Home.
Mr. and Mrs. Gust Carl spent
last week with Robert Mitte in Manitowoc, and at the Lavern Volp home in Omro.
Mrs. Al Volk of Madison and Anne Perushek of Chicago, Ill., visited last
week with their brother, Frank Perushek and other relatives.
Mr. and Mrs.
Martin Feuerstein, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Burr, Edwin Freund and Florentine Nosbisch
visited relatives in Le Roy, Minn., (looks like some words are missing here).
