Lemke, Robert J. (6 June 1898 - 25 October 1970)
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from Immanuel Lutheran Church
at Globe for Robert J. Lemke, 72, Greenwood, who died at Owen on October 25. The
Rev. Robert Bitter officiated. Burial was in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at
Globe.
Mr. Lemke was born June 6, 1898, in Morrison, the son of John and
Wilhelmina Lemke. He spent his early years in the Morrison area and was educated
there. He was married on May 4, 1927, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Globe to
the former Erna Grap, who survives him. Much of his lifetime was spent in
Milwaukee where he was an employee of American Motors for 30 years. He retired
in 1964 and moved to Greenwood in 1966. Mr. Lemke was a member of Immanuel
Lutheran Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sisters, Mrs.
Henry (Anetha) Wold of Morrison, and Mrs. Minnie Natzke of Reedsville, and by
four brothers, Edward of Medford, Emil of Spooner, Elmer of Morrison, and Fred
Lemke of Wautoma.
