Joyce, Vera R. (4 Jan. 1894 - 15 Aug. 1980)

NEILLSVILLE - Services for Mrs. Vera R. Joyce will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Gesche Funeral Home.

The Rev. Gary L. Clark of United Church of Christ is to officiate. Burial will be in Neillsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Sunday and until services Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Joyce, 86, Route 1, Greenwood, died Friday at Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 4, 1894 in the town of Weston to Mr. and Mrs. Albert (Carrie Foster) Holt and educated in Forman School in the town of York. On Oct. 11, 1916 at Neillsville, she was married to William E. Joyce.

The couple farmed in the town of Weston. He died in 1970.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. E. A. (Alice) Petersen, Muskegon, Mich.; three sons, William and Wilbur, both of Loyal, and Walter, Dayton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Harry, Clarence and Earl, and two sisters, Jennie and Marion.
