Buddinger, William C. (20 May 1929 - 28 Nov. 2008)

NEILLSVILLE -- William C. "Whitey" Buddinger, 79, of Neillsville, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. William was born May 20, 1929, in Chicago, the son of William Sr. and Katherine (Geisler) Buddinger. As a young child, his family moved to the town of York in Clark County and farmed. Later, they moved to what would become the family farm in the town of Washburn just off Highway 73. He was united in marriage to Joan Buddinger on July 17, 1954, at the Methodist Church in Merrillan. Eventually, they took over the operation of the family farm in the town of Washburn. After their retirement, they continued to live on the farm.

He is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Jim) Seehafer of Marshfield; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wilbur Buddinger of Granton.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Joan. Funeral services for William will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Burial will be in Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Gesche Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time.

The Gesche Funeral Home of Neillsville is assisting William's family with arrangements.
