Tuttle, Irene C. (5 February 1882
- 14 October 1970)
Mrs. Irene C. Tuttle, 88, died October 14, in a San
Jose, Calif., convalescent hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Tuttle
was born in a log cabin in the Town of Weston on February 5, 1882, the daughter
of Linus and Alice Frank. She attended Neillsville High School and later married
Emil Rossman. They made their home in Neillsville, where their two children were
born.
Following the death of Mr. Rossman, she met and married Sidney R.
Tuttle of Salinas, Calif. The Tuttles owned and operated a large dairy ranch.
After Mr. Tuttle’s death, his widow made her home in San Jose.
Mrs.
Tuttle is survived by her children, Mrs. John (Ruby) Brimberry of San Jose, and
Dr. Frank Rossman of Sausalito, Calif., and by four grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of
Loren Frank of Neillsville, Mrs. Bernice Reynolds of Centuria, and Francis L.
Frank of Redding, Calif.
Funeral services were held October 17 from the
Williams Funeral Chapel in San Jose. Interment was in Mt. Tamaulipas Cemetery,
San Rafael, Calif.
