Grajkowski, John S. (26 APR 1885 - 18 JAN 1966)

John S. Grajkowski, 80, a retired farmer, carpenter, and mason, passed away at Victory Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 1966.

Mr. Grajkowski was born April 26, 1885 in Poland, coming to the states in 1888, settling first in LaSalle, Ill., and in 1890 moving to the Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) area, where he has since resided. On July 1, 1908 he was united in marriage to Mary Swiniarski at St. Hedwig's Church, Thorp.

Funeral services were held in St. Hedwig's Chapel on Thursday, Jan. 20th. Father Mish officiated at the ten a.m. service, and burial was in St. Hedwig's Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Edward, Dale, Richard, George, Tom and Ken Grajkowski.

Surviving are his wife Mary, four sons, Joe, Raymond and Victor Grajkowski, all of Thorp, Leon of New Berlin, Wis.; one brother, Mike Grajkowski of Thorp, and one sister, Mrs. Francis Wisniewski of Milwaukee. Preceding him in death were his parents, one son Henry in 1959, and one daughter Rose in 1924.
