Cornwell, Meta E. (15 MAR 1903 - 24 JAN 1966)

Mrs. Meta E. Cornwell, 62, Virginia, Minn., died Jan. 24, 1966.

Mrs. Cornwell was born in Perkinstown, Wis., March 15, 1903, and spent her youth in that area, where she was married to Earl Cornwell in Jump River, May 10, 1922. They lived in Taylor County until 1939, then moved to Clark County, near Stanley, for 11 years. After residing in the Greenwood area for a few years, they moved to Ely, Minn. in 1954, where they lived until 1962, when she moved to Virginia, Minn., and entered a rest home.

Surviving are five sons and eight daughters, Vernon, Markesan, Wis., Kelvin, St. Paul Park, Minn., Leland, Ripon, David and Herbert, Ely, Minn., Mrs. Vaughn Forster, Stanley, Mrs. Julius Klapatauskas, Thorp, Mrs. Wallace Kuehl, Findland, Minn., Mrs. Kurt Buskirk, Hopkins, Minn., Mrs. Donald Mabie, Catawba, Mrs. Wayne Murphy, Ely, Minn., Mrs. Maynard Hartshorn, Ely, Minn., 57 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers, Daniel Dutzel, Owen and Ernest Dutzel, Thorp, and two half-brothers, August Griesback and William Griesback, both of Medford.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home in Stanley. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Withee.

Friends may call at the funeral home from Thursday noon until the time of the funeral.
