Plucinski, Frank (1 JAN 1854 - 17 JAN 1947)
Frank Plucinski, 93, former resident and merchant of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) about twenty-five years ago, passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Floyd Springer at Madison on Jan. 17th, 1947. He was born in Warsaw, Poland, Jan. 1, 1854.
Mr. Plucinski, who operated a farm near here for several years, moved to the village and purchased the building known later as the Blue Store. After twenty years he retired from the general store business which was taken over by his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Springer. Mr. Plucinski spent his winters in Florida in the late years and resided with the Springers during the summer.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary Springer, and two sons, Frank Jr. of Everett, Wash., and George of Fairbanks, Alaska, and eight grandchildren.
The remains were brought here from Madison on Sunday and funeral services were held a the Thorp Funeral Home at two o’clock Monday afternoon, Rev. Jas. Irish officiating, and interment followed in the East Thorp Cemetery.
