Fillo, John (27 DEC 1881 - 18 MAR 1947)

John Fillo died at his farm home in the Town of Mead (Clark Co., Wis.) on March 18, 1947, having reached the age of 65 years, 3 months and 19 days.

The deceased was born in Austria on Dec. 27, 1881. He was united in marriage there in 1900 to Elizabeth Franks. They came to America in 1905 and resided in Indiana for several years before coming to Thorp in the year 1917. Mrs. Fillo passed away in July 1946 and one daughter and a son also preceded him in death.

He is survived by three sons, Frank, Rudolph and William of the Town of Mead, and two daughters, Mrs. Sherman Kingery and Mrs. Frank Biddle of Thorp.

Funeral services were held at St. Bernard’s Church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22nd, Rev. A. M. Muckerheide officiating and interment following in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Hassing, Zigmond Danielewicz, jack Keller, George Biddle, Paul Hassing and John Twarowski.
