Farewell Party
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Krueger entertained February 22 at a farewell party in honor of their daughter, Dorothy Jean of Milwaukee, who left the following day for Bainbridge, Md., where she will begin a four-year enlistment in the U.S. Navy. She will be stationed at Bainbridge for nine weeks.
Out-of-town guests who came to offer their best wishes were Mr. and Mrs. Leo Plantico and family of Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Barney Rasykowski, Raymond Hainzlsperger, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mengel and family of Unity; Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Ferman, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Dawson and family of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Seehafer, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mengel and family, Irvin Mengel of Marshfield; and Miss Judith Schultz of Milwaukee, who was a week-end guest at the Krueger home.
Also present from Colby were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smudde and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dittmeyer and family, Mrs. Clarence Urling, and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Steffen Sr., Verlyn Schneider and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hinkelman.
