Neisius, John #2 (2 FEB 1899 – 13 DEC 1964)

John M. Neisius, 65, a retired town of Reseburg farmer, was found dead on the family farm pond of heart failure on Sunday, December 13, 1964.

Mr. Neisius was born February 22, 1899 in the town of Edson, Chippewa County. On January 3, 1922, he was united in marriage to Juliana Brunner at St. Joseph's Church, Boyd. They farmed in the town of Edson until 1946, when they purchased a farm in the town of Reseburg and where he has since resided.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Church, Thorp on Wednesday, December 16th. Father Edward Masalewicz officiated at the ten a.m. service and burial was made in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Edison. Pallbearers were Elmer Sachs, Robert Zukowski, Stanley Lendosky, Joe Grabowski, Raymond Grajkowski and Walter Pajak.

Surviving are his wife Juliana; two sons, LaVerne Neisius, Thorp, and Jerome Neisius, New Caledonia, Wis.; three daughters, (Martha) Mrs. Wenzel, Racine; (Juliana) Mrs. Frank Garafalo, New York; (Pauline) Mrs. Victor Roman, St. Marie, Idaho; four sisters, Mrs. John Endvick, Stanley; Mrs. Walter Lubach, Cornell; Mrs. Ray Haton, Florida; Mrs. Eugene Henneman, Cadott; 38 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. One brother, Peter, preceded him in death, and two sisters, (Mary) Mrs. Frank Sonnetag and (Martha) Mrs. Joe Shakal.
