Kanten, Glenise (27 NOV 1964)
Miss Glenise JoAnn Kanten became the bride
of Mr. James Leslie Schauer on Friday, No. 27, during a candlelight ceremony at
St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Dresser, Wisconsin. The Rev. Eugene Anderson
heard their vows in a double ring ceremony, during which Tom Kanten, brother of
the bride, sang The Lord's Prayer.
Given in marriage by her father, the
bride wore a floor length sheath in white brocade with chapel train, and carried
a Dutchesse Rose. Attending the bride was her college roommate, Barbara Ellis,
who wore a red velvet floor length sheath. She wore red and white carnations.
David Schauer, brother of the groom, served as best man. Guests were seated
by Steve Kanten and a dinner reception followed the ceremony.
The bride
will graduate in June from Wisconsin State University of Eau Claire with a major
in elementary education. She is affiliated with Delta Zeta Social Sorority. The
groom served in the United States Air Force and is a 1964 graduate of Wisconsin
State University of Eau Claire where he affiliated with Phi Sigma Epsilon
Fraternity. He is presently teaching special education at Southern Wisconsin
Colony and Training School in Union Grove, Wis.
Parents of the couple are
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kanten, Dresser and Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Schauer, Thorp.
