Boardman, La Vonne (Senior Profile - FEB 1966)

As you pass through the hall of THS, it is impossible to miss the petite figure with the bright smile. She's La Vonne Boardman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Boardman, who was born in August on Friday the 13th, 1948, yes, on that day of bad luck! Possessing academic leadership and personality, La Vonne has been elected to the National Honor Society, secretary of her Junior class, and a Student Council Representative. She has also been one of the new Highway 29 Queens and a Christmas Ball attendant. This year she is an active member of the Pep and Spanish Clubs, and will be remembered as Tootie in the senior class play.

A part of that unlucky birth date still remains with La Vonne, as she seems to be a "jinx at skiing," as her friends laughingly comment. Whenever La Vonne is one of the party, someone manages to come back to school with a cast or bandage. Upon graduation, la Vonne plans to attend the nursing program at Wis. State University, Eau Claire.
