Gasecki, Lillian J. (Czubakowski) (15 AUG 1920 - 22 SEP 2013)

Lillian J. Gasecki, 93, formerly of Owen, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Father Al Jakubowski will officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

A Rosary Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. There will also be a visitation on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Lillian J. Gasecki, age 93, formerly of Owen, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.

Lillian was born on August 15, 1920 in Thorp, the daughter of Stefan and Josephine (Sluzewski) Czubakowski. She was united in marriage to Vincent Gasecki on January 9, 1943 in Chicago, IL. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2004.

Lillian worked in a warplant during WWII. In 1951, they moved to a farm in the Town of Green Grove, retiring in 1979. They continued to reside on the home farm. Most recently, she lived in Colby. She liked to write poetry, sew and tend to her flower garden.

Lillian is survived by her brother, Edwin (Dolores) Czubakowski of Denton, TX. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; nine brothers and sisters: Violet Virgo, Malin Czubakowski, Wanita Lapinski, Lucille Pitlock, Felix “Tap” Czubakowski, Helen Kudingo, Steve Czubakowski, Bill Czubakowski and Genievieve Zawacki.
