In a nuptial High Mass read by the Rev. A. M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), on June 7th, 1947, Miss Margaret M. Meske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Meske, Thorp, became the bride of John J. Bloczynski Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Bloczynski, 410 W. Fifth St., Marshfield.
Miss Mary Ann Meske, Hinsdale, Ill., sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and George L. Bloczynski, Marshfield, brother of the groom, was best man.
The bridesmaids were Irene Meske, Thorp, and Miss Betty Joe Meske, LaGrande, Ill., sisters of the bride. The groomsman was LaVerne Bloczynski, a brother of the groom, and the ushers were Eugene Oberle and Joseph Meske, cousins of the bride.
The bride wore a colonial styled gown with a train, large bishop sleeves and face inserts, and a fingertip veil caught to a seed pearl and rhinestone headdress.
The maid of honor and bridesmaids woe gowns of flowered ninon over white satin.
Dinner for 200 guests was held at noon at the American Legion hall, Thorp. A reception followed the dinner.
The bride, who is a graduate of the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing, class of 1945, has been employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital for the past year and a half as assistant supervisor in pediatrics. The groom served with the Army Air Forces for more than three years, being a first Lieutenant at the time of his discharge. He is employed at the Winebrenner Shoe Factory.
Mr. and Mrs. Bloczynski are at home to their friends at 610 N. Cherry St., Marshfield.
