At a Nuptial High Mass celebrated by the Rev. Paul Pitzenberger at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Stanley, June 26, 1947 at 9:30 a.m., Miss Lucy Henke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter A Henke, Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Bernard Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Haas (Clark Co.).
Miss Phyllis Henke, sister of the bride, was her only attendants. She wore a dress of Nile green marquisette, with a headband of flowers and a bouquet of yellow generations.
The groom was attended by his brother, Leonard Haas.
The bride wore a dress of white marquisette, fashioned with a fitted bodice and bishop sleeves. The full skirt ended ina long train. She wore a fingertip veil with a crown of flowers and carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and white carnations.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for 50 guests, with a dance following at Mileaway Ballroom.
Mr. and Mrs. Haas are touring the Black Hills and Yellowstone Nation Park on their honeymoon. They will be at home to their friends at Cadott upon their return.
