LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST

The Helping Hand Society will meet Friday afternoon, Sept. 26th, at the home of Mrs. A. Phillips.

Rev. W. K. Anderson of the Lutheran Church is attending a pastoral conference at Long Lake this week.

Don’t forget the chicken supper a the Village Hall Saturday evening, Sept. 27th. All you can ear for 35c.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Peterson, H. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. J. Johnson called on friends near Colby Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Green and family and Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Green spent Sunday at the L. Neitzel home at Abbotsford, Wis.

Mrs. John Sturner and Hobert Sturner of Holcombe, were Curtiss visitors Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Hanson of Shirley, Ind., are visiting the formers parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Hanson of Hoard Center.

Mrs. Arnold Sills and daughter of Abbotsford, visited the fore part of the week at the home of her father Frank Schroeder.

Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Morgan and daughter drove to Marshfield Monday to visit little Junior Morgan who is a patient at the hospital.

Miss Maxine Marquardt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Marquardt, underwent an operation for appendicitis at the Chippewa Falls Hospital Sunday.
