THORP -- Nadine Beryl Walter, 68, of Thorp died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Our Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley.

No public services will be held.

Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Nadine was born Aug. 31, 1940, in Dorchester to Lester and June (Paulson) Vircks. She married Arland Walter on April 5, 1958, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stanley. She worked as a CNA at Stanley Hospital and later in the nursing home until 1968 when they began farming. She retired in 1999.

She is survived by her husband, Arland; four children, Linda (James) Meyer, Abbotsford, David Walter, Thorp, Donna (James) Johnson, Colby, and Brenda (Bruce) Mueller, Cadott; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Glen Vircks, Boyd, and Dennis (Linda) Vircks, Santa Ana, Calif.; and one sister, Debra (Joe) Tomandl, Medford.
