Funeral services were conducted for Joseph C. Greenwood at 9:30 Wednesday morning at St. Bernard’s Catholic church. Father John Novak officiated. Internment was made at the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. The pallbearers were Frank Wiese, Frank Kadonsky, Wm. Nagel, Peter Van Rooy, Wm. Fager and F. Seala.
Joseph C. Greenwood was born in Quebec, Ontario, March 5, 1856. At the age of 15 he came from Canada to Fond du Lac. In 1885 he was married at Oak Center to Mary Gidek, then moved to Unity and lived there for forty years. For the past seven years he has made his Abbotsford his home.
Early Sunday morning Mr. Greenwood passed away at the Owen hospital. He had been afflicted with a heart ailment for the past four years. His widow and one son, George, of Chicago, survive, besides three sisters and one brother in Canada.
