Gosse, Verna (Marriage - 8 Oct 1938)
On Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the parsonage of Zion Lutheran church in Colby Miss Verna Gosse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Gosse, exchanged marriage vows with Gilbert Grambort, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grambort of Colby, Wis. The Rev. O. H. Hoffman officiated.
The bride wore a street length gown of dubonnet crepe with hat and slippers to match. Her shoulder bouquet of roses was the same shade.
Her attendants were Miss Florence Singstock of Chicago as maid of honor and Miss Caroline Singstock of Colby as bridesmaid. Both wore gowns of teal blue with accessories in dubonnet. They wore shoulder bouquets of tea roses and baby asters.
The groom was attended by Edward Preusner of Chicago as best man. Norman Gosse, brother of the bride, also attended the groom.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride’s grandmother, Mrs. Anna Gosse, town of Colby, where supper was served to 25 guests. The home was decorated with fall flowers.
In the evening a wedding dance was held at Wiedenhofts’ pavilion.
Mr. and Mrs. Grambort are both graduates of the Colby High School. Mr. Grambort is engaged as a stock buyer.
The young couple are at present making their home with his parents in Colby, Wis.
