GUARDS OPEN BASKET BALL SEASON
The local National Guard unit will play the first game of the season tonight at the Armory when it meets the Pittsville City team.
Abbotsford’s team is composed of seasoned basket ball players who are all well known. They are "Bill" Mittlesteadt, "Tux" Mittlesteadt, Bruce Beilfuss, Lile Brunner, "Scotty" McDonald, "Zeke" Kuehnast, "Mike" Kramer, "Len" Colby, "Beef" Kennedy, "Bull" Dolan, and "Chuck" Wagner. "Duke" Cornelius and Clarence Weetz have been acting as business managers for the team. After tonight Bill Mittlesteadt will take over that work.
At the opening game to-night the management will give a free ticket to each lady attending the game when accompanied by any person buying an adult ticket. The Company is looking forward to a capacity crowd.
