Miller, Betty Jo (Marriage - 28 June 1958)

Betty Jo Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Beaver of Colby, Wis. and Alfred J. Hills, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Hills, Sr., of Loyal, were united in marriage in St. Mary’s Catholic church in Colby Saturday morning, June 28, at 9:30 A.M., Rev. John B. Pinion reading the marriage vows.

The bride was attired in a floor-length gown of hand clipped chantilly lace and tulle over satin. The shirred basque bodice had a jeweled neckline and a lace redingote topped the ruffled skirt. Her imported silk illusion veil fell from a crown of pedals trimmed with seed pearls and iridescent sequins. Her bouquet consisted of red roses and white stephanotis.

Mrs. Norman Miller of Park Falls, the matron of honor, and Mrs. Donald Hills of Loyal, the bridesmaid, wore identical pink ballerina length dresses of chiffon over taffeta with a cowl neckline and streamers in the back. Their bouquets consisted of pink and white carnations.

The groom was attended by Norman Miller of Park Falls and John Hills of Milwaukee, brothers of the bride and groom. Flower bearers were Janie Beaver and Susan Hills.

A reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents and a dance was held at the Kolby Park Pavilion in the evening.

After a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin the couple will be at home after July 5, at Loyal where the groom is employed by Stock Chevrolet, Inc.
