Jones, William A. (1884 - 2 Aug. 1958)

William A. Jones died Saturday afternoon at the age of 74 years at St. Croix Valley Hospital following a stroke suffered July 31 while vacationing in that area. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral home, Rev. Lee Holmes officiating, and burial was made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery. Pall bearers were Gust Brehm, Harry Bender, Howard Crossgrove, Dr. W. W. Payne, Ray Marsh and John Engeldinger.

Mr. Jones lived here his entire life. He had been employed at the Colby Hotel for many years. He was unmarried.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Addie George of Medford, Mrs. Hannah Holmes of Wisconsin Rapids, Miss Lydia Jones of Colby and one brother, Ben Jones of Arena.
