Fischer, Elizabeth (9 Nov. 1869 - 4 Aug. 1958)
Mrs. Adolph Fischer died Monday night at 10:20 o’clock at her home in Colby, Wisconsin at the age of 88 years, old age complications being the cause of her death. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in Zion Lutheran church, Rev. Wm. R. Christian officiating, and internment will be made in the Colby (Colby, Clark Co. Wis.) Cemetery.
Elizabeth Urban was born in Germany on November 9, 1869, where she received her education. She married Adolph Fischer in Germany on October 10, 1892. They came to the United States in 1907 and lived in Newton, Kansas, until 1914 when they moved to Colby, Wis.
Surviving are nine children - Mrs. Anna Prange of Unity, Herman of Walnut Grove, Minn., Mrs. Ernest (Margaret) Schulte of Milwaukee, Carl of Colby, William of Rib Lake, Fred of Rib Lake, Mrs. Fred (Lena) Diedrich of Colby and Walter of Colby, Wis. Also 18 grand children and 14 great grand children.
Preceding her in death were her husband who died July 30, 1942, one son, August, who died in Kansas in 1919 and one brother.
