Mitte, Theodore Carl (13 September 1899 - 6 November
1970)
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 10, at 1:30 ;.m. from
Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe for Theodore Carl Mitte, Rt. 3, Neillsville,
who died November 6 at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. The rev. Robert
Bitter officiated and burial was made in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Mr.
Mitte was born September 13, 1899, in the Town of Weston to William and Bertha
(Schoenherr) Mitte. He received his education in the Globe area and farmed
tougher with his father until the time of his marriage, when he purchased the
family farm. He was married to the former Clara Hemp on June 20, 1929, in Globe.
They farmed until his retirement on January 1, 1970.
Mr. Mitte was a
former member of the town board and also served on the school board for many
years. He was also a director of the Neillsville Milk Products for a period of
12 years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include
his wife; three children, Robert Mitte of Manitowoc, Franklin Mitte and Mrs.
Jimmy (Florence) Vincent, both of Neillsville; five grandchildren; four sisters,
Mrs. Hedwig Schoenherr, Neillsville, Mrs. Tillie Kramer, Hales Corners, Miss
Bertha Mitte, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Edwina Pemberton, Portland, Ore.; and four
brothers, Walter Mitte, Milwaukee, William Mitte, Jr., Dubuque, Ia., Harold
Mitte, Neillsville and Edwin Klueckmann, Neillsville.

Funeral services for
Theodore C. Mitte, 71, who died November 6, were held Tuesday, November 10 at
1:30 p.m. from Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe. The Rev. Robert Bitter
officiated and burial was made in Immanuel Cemetery.
Pallbearers were
Russell Seelow, Victor Schlinkert, William Volland, Arnold Hoppa, Frederick
Grap, Sr., and Gerhardt Scheel. The congregation sang the hymns, “Jerusalem, My
Happy Home,” “Who Knows When Death May over take me,” and “I Lay My sins on
Jesus,” accompanied by Mrs. David Hoppa.
