Jeanette A. (4 FEB 1921 - 29 SEP 2013)
Jeanette A, Miller, age 92, Of
Unity, passed away early in the morning on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at
Ministry Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
A funeral service will be
held at 11AM on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity.
The Rev. Al Houts will officiate. Burial will follow in St. John's Lutheran
Cemetery in Unity. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church in Unity
from 9AM until time of services. Her pallbearers include Michael, Mark, Brian
and Thomas Jeske, Abraham Ehlert, Lucas and Chris Maurina, and Steve Giles.
Jeanette was born February 4, 1921 in rural Spencer, daughter of the late
Adolph and Clara (Lindekugel) Luther. She graduated from Spencer High School in
1938. After high school, she worked as a waitress at The Blue Royal Night Club
in Marshfield. On October 11, 1944 she married Raymond "Red" Miller at Trinity
Lutheran Church in Loyal. Sadly, Red passed away October 2, 2011 Together they
raised their children and operated a dairy farm in Unity. Jeanette was also
employed at Woolworth Department Store in Marshfield until they closed their
doors.
Her hobbies included square dancing, watching golf tournaments on
TV and fishing or perhaps just boating. Jeanette loved her travels to her
daughter Debbie's home and looked forward to the exciting sightseeing trips they
experienced together. Her family also mentioned that Mom was quite the baker of
delicious goods. Jeanette's deep and unshakeable strong faith was at the center
of her life. She was member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity and a former
member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal.
Survivors include her
children: Ronald (Mary) Miller of Unity, Kaye (Larry) Jeske of Colby, Dawn
(Bill) Ehlert of Thorp and Dr. Debra (Matt) Gray of Knoxville, TN; nine
grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews other
relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband Raymond "Red"; three sisters: Verna Quandt, Florence Staples and Adeline
Gropp.
Memorials in Jeanette's name are being accepted to Trinity
Lutheran Church in Unity.
