Miller, George F. (11 Aug. 1890 - Sept. 1958)
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon in the Evangelical and Reformed church in Colby, Wisconsin for George W. Miller who died of a heart ailment, at the age of 68 years, at Marshfield where he made his home. Rev. V. O. Grosshuesch officiated at the rites. Two selections were sung by the Evangelical Reformed church of Marshfield, "Rock of Ages" and "Abide With Me." C. A. Nelsen of Colby sang "Beyond the Sunset." Pall bearers were Ed Paape, Alfred Konrad, Albert Podevels, Ed Witte, Lawrence Mueller and Walter Mueller.
Mr. Miller was born on August 11, 1890, at Colby and received his education here. He married Ella Witte on August 27, 1913. They lived on a farm near Cherokee until 1945 when they moved to Marshfield where Mr. Miller was employed at the Roddis Plywood plant until his retirement last June.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Harold Miller of Colby; one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Dorothy) Arends of Marshfield; one grand son; four grand daughters; two brothers, Charles Miller of Portland, Ore., and Dick Miller of Marquette, Mich.

Mr. Miller was well and favorably known as a man of a friendly and honest disposition who always endeavored to perform his duties to the best of his ability.
