Schultz, Elizabeth (1867 - 1935)

Funeral services were held this morning for Mrs. Charles Schultz, who died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Freimund at Stratford. Father J. Novak officiated at the services which were held at 9 o’clock. Internment was made at the Abbotsford cemetery.

Mrs. Schultz, who is the mother of Carl Speck of Abbotsford, was making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Herman Freimund at Stratford at the time of her death. She was 68 years of age.

Elizabeth Brachman was born at Manitowoc, April 20, 1867. She was married to August Speck in 1890 and moved from Sheboygan to a farm two miles northeast of Abbotsford in 1896. Mr. Speck died in 1899.

She was married in 1900 to Charles Schultz, who preceded her in death on September 1, 1930.

Mrs. Schultz passed away September 17, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie Freimund, of Stratford, at the age of 68 years.

Funeral services were held Thursday, September 19, from St. Bernard’s church here, with internment in the Abbotsford cemetery. Those acting as pallbearers were Howard and Eldred Speck, Derald Freimund and Isadore Hackel, grandsons; Delmar Brusewitz and Stanley Cochran. Flower girls were Eleanor and Artemus Freimund, Evelyn Speck and LaVerne Brusewitz.

Mrs. Schultz is survived by five daughters, one son and 19 grand-children. The children surviving are Carl Speck, Abbotsford; Mrs. Elsie Freimund, Stratford; Mrs. Sadie Hackel, Milan; Mrs. Nora Drost, Medford; Mrs. Dorothy White, Milwaukee and Mrs. Viola Radke, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
