Pleasant Ridge (19 November 1970)

Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Kuehn were Minnie and Alvin King of Coloma and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert King of Beaver Dam, all cousins of Mr. Kuehn. The Kuehn’s daughters and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Hohenstein and children of Granton and Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Hubing and children of Neillsville were also present. In the afternoon the Kings visited with their aunt, Mrs. Ella Kuehn, at Memorial Home.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Klapper of Cecil spent Sunday with Elsie Wolf. Other dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Kuechenmeister, Mrs. Genevieve Hantke and Pauline, Mrs. Ella Magnuson and her granddaughter, Debra Magnuson, and Mr. and Mrs. Tony Hantke of Neillsville.

Glenn Short has returned home from a week’s stay in St. Joseph’s Hospital as a medical patient.

Mr. and Mrs. Dale Vine and family spent Sunday at Mosinee with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Landwehr. Visitors Monday and Tuesday at the Vine home were Mrs. Vine’s cousin and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brantner, and their daughter, Lynelle of Pepin.

Mr and Mrs. Elmer Dahlke, Milwaukee, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Eisentraut. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. David Eisentraut and family and with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Erickson in the Town of York.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Drescher were guests recently at a card party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Seebandt, Rt. 2, Loyal.

Four deer hunters from Beaver Dam will be staying at the Carl Drescher home over the weekend. The group has been coming to this area to hunt deer for over ten years.

Mr. and Mrs. George Erickson visited with Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Cook Monday afternoon. The Cooks have moved recently from the Columbia area to a home east of Granton.

Donald Erickson, Danville, Ill., spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Erickson.
