Schaefer, Everest A. (18 July 1916 - 20 November 1970)

Everest A. Schaefer, 54, of Oregon, Ill., died Friday morning, November 20, in Dixon Public Hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Schaefer was born July 18, 1916, in Neillsville, the son of Anton and Mary (Vratney) Schaefer. He was married to the former Martha Florence on June 29, 1940, in Neillsville. The Schaefer’s have lived in Oregon for the last 17 years, moving there from Neillsville. Mr. Schaefer was employed at the Carnation Milk Company in Oregon.

He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Bernadine) Stevens, and Mrs. George (Rozann) Groenhagen both of Oregon, and Miss Sue Schaefer, a student at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Ill., as well as by five grandchildren. He is further survived by a brother, Raymond Schaefer, of Milwaukee.

Funeral services for Mr. Schaefer were held Monday, November 23, at 2 p.m. from the Farrell Funeral Home in Oregon. The Rev. Myron Bartell of Paynes Point Lutheran Church officiated and internment was in the Daysville Cemetery.
