Cottages are filled with hunters and
several old-time area residents are here for the shoot. Mr. and Mrs. Wally
Clodfelter and family of Cambria are occupying their home here, and Leo Sischo
of Milwaukee is visiting his son, Richard Sischo and family.
William and
Georgeana Schulz, and Mrs. George Mashin called on Mr. and Mrs. Otto Wetzel in
Pine Valley Thursday afternoon. They presented Mrs. Wetzel with a jute tote bag
in honor of her 85th birthday. The bag, made by Georgeana Schulz, was
beautifully decorated with variegated wool yarn. A card presented with the gift
included the names of the givers: Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson
Bohnhoff, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Winter, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Aspen, Mr. and Mrs.
George Mashin, Georgeana and William Schulz, and Mr. and Mrs. William
Sollberger. The Wetzel’s once were residents of our area.
Georgeana and
William Schulz visited Mr. and Mrs. Ole Aspen Saturday evening. Herbert Aspen
and son, Chris, of Mt. Prospect, Ill., are house guests of the Aspens and doing
some hunting in this area.
Mrs. Wilson Bohnhoff accompanied Mrs. Helen
Evans of Merrill to North Lake, Ill., Friday where they will attend the wedding
of their niece, Jennine Jarems, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jarems. Mrs.
Bohnhoff, Mrs. Evans and Mrs. Jarems are sisters.
